On June 21, many volunteers joined forces for the Keep Crowley Clean Campaign 2008.   Volunteers met at City Hall where they received gloves, trash bags, and rakes. They were assigned a street which was in need of cleaning. Some of the Crowley Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors donated their Saturday morning to help with this campaign. The board was assigned North Avenue G, right behind Stage Department Store and Bordelon's Furniture. They worked extremely hard to make this street trash free.  In addition, the board has committed to keeping Levy Park clean throughout the year.  Following the morning of clean up, volunteers were treated to lunch by the City of Crowley.

 

There are still plenty of ways you can get involved in keeping our city safe and clean.  Many business owners are already maintaining the streets in their area.  Clubs, organizations, businesses and individuals are encouraged to sign up to maintain a block or a park for the year.  For information, contact Margaret Young at City Hall, 783-0824.
