More than 60 members and guests joined for a Network @ Noon meeting on Friday, July 16. MidSouth Bank President Rusty Cloutier addressed the crowd presenting information on the financial meltdown of 2008. From the evolution of predatory lending and the real estate bubble, Cloutier says there is plenty of blame to go around. Cloutier also spoke briefly about the financial reform bill which passed the Senate Thursday, July 15. He is the author of Big Bad Banks, which was available for sale at the event.
Network @ Noon is a quarterly membership meeting of the Chamber that is held during lunch at local member restaurants. This meeting gives members a chance to share news about their business or organization, and learn more about upcoming Chamber events and business.
